A cancer detection camp for blind women was organized on 22nd April, 2017, at Kamla Mehta Dadar School for the Blind, from 9.00 a.m. to 1.30 p.m. Total 32 blind women attended the camp and got benefit.
In January 2012, BPA had organized a Comprehensive Medical Camp with kind courtesy of St. George Dental Hospital, which was then commemorating its Golden Jubilee year. 150 Blind individuals participated in the camp which covered Dental Check-up, Cleaning, Extraction and Filling, and General Medical Check-up which included Blood Test, Blood Sugar Test, ECG, BP, Orthopedic Check-up, Gynecological Check-up and ENT. The needy patients were given free medicines. The event was well organized by the Dean of Dental College – Dr.Mansing Pawar and his hard-working, dedicated and caring team of Doctors, Nurses, Staff and Students. Wherever required, patients were advised to visit the hospital for follow up treatment. The camp was a great success.
Our members are still visiting the hospital for their various ailments and the management of the Hospital is taking great care of them.
One more Health Camp for the blind was organized at Munibaba School, Vangani, Dist.Thane on 11th January, 2015 in association with Medical Fraternity of D.Y.Patil Medical College,Navi Mumbai. 74 visually impaired persons attended the camp where they underwent Dental and General Medical Check-up.
