A day long program of 75th Foundation day  celebration of Blind Persons’ Association (BPA) Mumbai was organized on Saturday the 22nd October 2022 from 10.00 am to 6.00pm at Yashvantrao Chavan Auditorium, Nariman Point, Mumbai. This program was inaugurated by the Chief Guest Dr. Shrikant Deshpande and Guest of Honour Dr. Gopal Mangaonkar by lighting  the lamp in the morning.  The cultural committee of the Association headed by Mr Kiran Kadam ( Vice president ) had organized many online competitions through social media. Some of the winners presented their performance of their respective competitions. Thereafter “Kaun Banega Vijeta” quiz contest conducted by Mr Vijay Gujar and Mr Mohammad Raza was organized. In the afternoon session blind artists presented melodies orchestra. In the evening session Ms. Abhida Dhumatkar (HOD History Sathye college, Mumbai) was conferred  upon Padmashree Dr. Rajendra T Vyas memorial  award by the chief guest. There after many former office bearers were felicitated for their outstanding contribution in the past. Prizes were also given to the winners of the online various competitions by the chief guest and guest of honour Sarvshri Sam Balsara (CMD- Madison Communications Pvt. Ltd), and Tukaram Kate (Retd. Dysp) present on this occasion.

Shri. Nitin Gadkari ji, Hon’ble Union Minister for Road and Transport , Government of India, gave away his valuable message expressing good wishes and grand success for our program. Shri. Devendra Fadnavis ji , Hon’ble Dy. C.M. of Maharashtra has also given his best wishes through a video message for our program.

Mrs. Mona Tailor, President BPA welcomed the Guests and Shri. Manohar Jadiyar Joint Secretary briefed about the activities of the organization. Shri Suhas Karnik, Vice President gave introduction of ex-office bearers. Shri. Jivan Chavan, executive council member proposed vote of thanks. Shrimati Uttara Mone anchored this program. Treasurers Shri. Ashok Kamble and Shri. Samir Sarambalkar actively supported  in the organization of foundation day program.  The participants were served with delicious snacks, sumptuous lunch  and evening snacks.  At the end of the function on the occasion of Diwali Sweets boxes were given away as a parting . Around 300 persons had participated in this program. The program was proved to be a grand success.
